After the success of our Wilderness Camp during the September and October 2018 School Holidays, we are delighted to announce that Wildfest at Tidbinbilla is back for the Autumn School Holidays in 2019. You can experience Tidbinbilla like never before with the ultimate family sleepover at our Wildfest Pop Up Family Wilderness Camp in the picturesque ACT Park.

Explore this vast 54.5 square kilometre Nature Reserve with specially designed ranger guided activities that offer NEW ways to learn about the diversity of wildlife in this unique landscape, understand the culture of the traditional country of the Ngunnawal people and see the history of European settlement in the Tidbinbilla Valley.

The importance of our native flora and fauna in the natural world has never been more vital and Tidbinbilla runs one of Australia’s leading endangered species conservation and breeding programs with successful re introductions of the Northern Corroboree Frogs and Southern Brush Tailed Rock Wallabies back into the nature reserve. See these animals in the wild as mother nature intended as well as kangaroos, koalas, platypus, potoroos, wallaroos, possums, wombats, echidnas, emus, lyrebirds, turtles, sugar gliders alongside many other birds and reptiles, explore the diverse geography from the wetlands and Eucalypt forest to the mountains and get an insight into the vital work carried out by the ACT Parks & Conservation team.

Wake Up in the Wild Experience Tidbinbilla in a whole new light


‘Glamping’ tent accommodation is now available at Tidbinbilla and we have created an itinerary designed for families packed with NEW exclusive day & night wildlife encounters with ACT Parks Wildlife Officers where you see animals in their natural habitat. You can walk with Park Rangers, enjoy roasting marshmallows by the fire, experience Hi Tech Wildlife, go behind the scenes at the Vet Centre or solve the mystery of CSI Tidbinbilla as well as star gazing after your dinner. And after check out take the rest of the day to explore this wildlife sanctuary even further. The reserve offers 16 hiking trails from Cascades Trail to Gibraltar Rock as well as a rich Aboriginal history and nearby is Canberra’s Deep Space Communication Complex – NASA Tracking Station. There is much more than you can imagine at Tidbinbilla.

Bookings can be made from Friday 12 April – Saturday 27 April 2019 (Closed Monday 15 April & Tuesday 23 April) inclusive, adult are $295 per night and kids are $195 per night. in 2019 is Easter is from Friday 19 April – Mon 22 April 2019.

Our Overnight Packages are fully inclusive


Glamping guests experience one of our sample itineraries and stay in our  6m Emperor bell tents. Each tent includes

  • Real beds – Mattress on bed bases, floor rugs and welcome mat
  • Quality bed linen package – sheets, pillow cases, warm doona, warm throw and cushion
  • Luggage rack
  • Bed side tables with solar lights

Overnight guests also get the use of our central catering tent where we serve Dinner & Breakfast and we have the use of on-site public toilets at Flints. You must bring your own toiletries. A detailed list of what to bring and inclusions will be sent prior to your stay.

Bookings can be made from Friday 12 April through to Sat 27 April 2019 inclusive, adults are $295 per night and kids are $195 per night. We have tents that can accomodate 2, 3 or 4 people and these can be booked either by credit card via the BOOK NOW button or via direct debit. To arrange your invoice email bookings@wildfest.com.au – with the subject line Wildfest at Tidbinbilla – please nominate your date as well as how many adults and children are attending. If your family is bigger than 4 persons, extra beds can be added into our larger tents by arrangement and whilst the activities are designed for kids 5 – 12 years ideally, we can accommodate kids under 5 years by prior arrangement.
